A Daily Prayer based on Psalm 45

Lord Christ, My heart is stirred by a noble theme as I acknowledge that you are the most excellent of men and your lips have been anointed with grace, since God the Father has blessed you forever. I pray that you will gird your sword upon your side, O mighty one, and clothe yourself with splendor and majesty. Ride forth victoriously in your majesty in behalf of truth, meekness, and righteousness. Let your right hand display awesome deeds. I pray that your sharp arrows will pierce the hearts of your enemies, and that the nations will fall at your feet. You are God the Son, and the scepter of your kingdom will always be the scepter of justice and uprightness. Because you have loved righteousness and hated wickedness, God has set you above your companions by anointing you with the oil of joy. I pray that your bride, the body of Christ, will be a royal bride. I pray that we will forget former allegiances so that our loyalty may be yours alone. I pray that your bride will clothe herself with your garments of righteousness that you may desire her beauty. I pray that your bride will bow before you and honor you as her lord. I pray that the children of faith produced by your bride will be sons who will take the place of their fathers in the faith and carry on their work. Make them princes throughout the land. I pray that every man among us will imitate you by being among the most excellent of men. May you bless us and cause our speech to be gracious. I pray that we will clothe ourselves with your splendor and majesty that we may advance victoriously in life, in behalf of truth, meekness, and righteousness. I ask that our right hand display awesome deeds by your power. May we love righteousness and hate wickedness as you do, that you may grant us your favor and anoint us with the oil of joy. I pray that every woman among us will leave father and mother that she may devote herself to her husband. May her husband desire her beauty, and may she honor him as her head. I pray that she will be glorious within as she displays the imperishable quality of a quiet and gentle spirit. May each woman lead a life of joy and gladness. I pray that the sons in each marriage will carry on the good example of their fathers to the next generation. May they be given authority and influence throughout the land. We pledge to do our part, Lord Christ, to perpetuate your memory through all generations. We pray that all nations, including our own, will praise you forever and ever. It is in your name we pray, amen.

"There is no better way to pray according to the will of God than by praying his own word back to him. These daily prayers are crafted, as much as possible, to incorporate the very words of the Scripture."

Welcome

Never before in the history of our country has America faced a moral crisis like the one before us today. The foundations of our government are crumbling right before our eyes. Our churches are abandoning God, our families are in shambles. There is only one hope for restoration - the Lord Jesus Christ.
