A Daily Prayer based on Psalm 39

Lord Almighty, I pray in Jesus’ name that you will show ______________________ and me our life’s end and the measure of our days. Impress on us how fleeting our life is, and that our life is but a breath and a shadow. May we recognize the folly of making it our life’s ambition to heap up wealth, since we do not know who will get it in the end. If you ever consume our wealth as a rebuke and discipline us for our own sin, I pray that we will be able to recognize that you have done it and learn from you. I pray then that you will remove your hand from us and hear our prayer and listen to our cry for help. I pray that we may be able to rejoice again and smile in prosperity before we depart and are no more. I pray that you will direct our attention to you and that we will look for you instead of wealth. I pray that we will guard our ways so that we may not sin with our tongue, and I pray that you will not be silent when we call to you. May our hope be in you alone. Please save us from all our transgressions, and keep us from being the scorn of fools. Amen.

"There is no better way to pray according to the will of God than by praying his own word back to him. These daily prayers are crafted, as much as possible, to incorporate the very words of the Scripture."

Our churches are abandoning God, our families are in shambles. There is only one hope for restoration - the Lord Jesus Christ.
