A Daily Prayer based on Numbers 5:1-6:21

Almighty God, I pray that you will cause ______________________ and me to be a life-giving influence in our circle of friends and in the body of Christ. Use us to enrich the lives of those with whom we live and work. Grant us a tender conscience, and a quickness to recognize when we have wronged someone else in any way. I pray that we will see that our sin against another is unfaithfulness to you. Prompt us to confess the sin we have committed, seek forgiveness, and make restitution where we need to. Grant each one among us who is single a spirit of sexual purity, and a commitment to preserve sexual expression for marriage. Protect each marriage that is represented among us from any kind of unfaithfulness. Deepen the union of each husband and wife in body, soul, and spirit. Restrain the spirit of adultery that it may have no place in any marriage. May no husband go astray and be unfaithful to his wife by sleeping with another woman, and may no wife go astray and be unfaithful to her husband by sleeping with another man. Where there is sexual sin, please cause it to come to light that it may be dealt with. I pray that you will restrain the work of Satan when he seeks to trouble us with false accusations and jealousy. May no false accusation or suspicion be allowed to stand. Lord, we read here about the special Nazirite vow that could be taken in ancient Israel. I pray in a similar way that each one of us will separate ourselves to you, and consecrate ourselves wholly to you that we may serve you. May our whole body, soul, and spirit be set apart to serve your purposes in life, in work, and in relationships. I ask these things in Jesus’ name. Amen.

"There is no better way to pray according to the will of God than by praying his own word back to him. These daily prayers are crafted, as much as possible, to incorporate the very words of the Scripture."

Our churches are abandoning God, our families are in shambles. There is only one hope for restoration - the Lord Jesus Christ.
