A Daily Prayer based on I Kings 2

Lord God, I pray in Jesus' name that ______________________ and I will embrace David's counsel to Solomon for ourselves. May we choose, by your grace and with the assistance of your power, to be strong and show ourselves to be men and women of character and substance. Enable us to observe what you require and to walk in your ways that we may keep your decrees and commands as written in the Scripture. By your grace, may we prosper in all we do and wherever we go. I pray that we will walk faithfully before you with all our heart and soul, and I ask you to fulfill every promise you have made to us. May every purpose you have for our lives be accomplished. Please grant us your wisdom that we may know what to do in every circumstance. May we this day forgive those who have harmed us, and pledge to show kindness to those who have stood by us in times of adversity. May we in turn stand by our friends in their time of trouble and be loyal and faithful to them. I pray for the system of justice in our community and nation. May justice be swift and sure for all who shed blood in peacetime as if in battle. May you repay them for their wrongdoing and the blood they have shed. I pray for our elected officials, especially our president, our governor, and our mayor, that you will protect them and bless them. Please make each of them a man of wisdom so that he will know what to do in each situation. May they deal according to your wisdom with each challenge they face. I pray that you will protect our nation in this time of danger. May we be firmly established in peace and security and may your peace rest on our land forever. Amen.

"There is no better way to pray according to the will of God than by praying his own word back to him. These daily prayers are crafted, as much as possible, to incorporate the very words of the Scripture."

Our churches are abandoning God, our families are in shambles. There is only one hope for restoration - the Lord Jesus Christ.
