A Daily Prayer based on Genesis 16-17

Lord God Almighty, I bring myself and ______________________ before you today. I pray that you will enable each one of us to bear up under unjust accusation and unfair treatment, and to act with strength and not with passivity in such circumstances. May we be worthy of the respect of those closest to us. When we are mistreated, please strengthen us so that we will not run away. Please strengthen us so that we may properly submit to the authority over us, even when those in authority deal harshly with us. Keep us from looking with contempt on those in authority over us even when they do not use their authority wisely or well. I pray that you will manifest yourself to us when we experience misery, hear our prayers for help, and speak words of assurance to us. May we see with the eyes of our heart the One who sees us. I pray that we will walk before you and be blameless. I pray that you will bless us as you blessed Abraham and Sarah. I ask you to confirm your covenant with us, and to make us very fruitful. May we greatly increase in number, in both physical and spiritual offspring. I pray that you will be our God and the God of our descendants. I pray that you will bring us into full possession of our promised inheritance in Christ. May we and every member of our families be circumcised in heart and experience the fullness of your blessing and the fulfillment of every promise you have made to us. In the name of Jesus, amen.

"There is no better way to pray according to the will of God than by praying his own word back to him. These daily prayers are crafted, as much as possible, to incorporate the very words of the Scripture."

Never before in the history of our country has America faced a moral crisis like the one before us today. The foundations of our government are crumbling right before our eyes. Our churches are abandoning God, our families are in shambles. There is only one hope for restoration - the Lord Jesus Christ.
