A Daily Prayer based on Revelation 1:9-20

Lord Jesus, I bow before you as the one who walks among the churches. May our church be a golden lampstand in our community, shedding abroad the light of your truth. I pray to you today on behalf of myself and ______________________. I ask you to release into our lives a spirit of brotherhood and companionship, that each of us may help others in suffering, assist them in expanding your kingdom, and encourage them to show patient endurance as they depend upon you. May you bring companions into our lives to do the same for us. I pray that each of us will hold firmly to the word of God and your testimony, the testimony of Jesus, no matter the cost. Above all, I pray that you will give us a greater revelation of yourself. May we see you with the eyes of the soul as the one whose head and hair are white like wool, as white as snow, and whose eyes are like blazing fire. May we see your feet like bronze glowing in a furnace, and may we hear your voice, a voice like the sound of rushing waters. May we see the sharp double-edged sword that comes out of your mouth. Let us see your face, a face like the sun shining in all its brilliance. I pray that we will fall at your feet and worship you as the One who is the First and the Last, the Living One who was dead but now is alive for ever and ever, and the one who holds the keys of death and Hades. All this I ask in your name, amen.

"There is no better way to pray according to the will of God than by praying his own word back to him. These daily prayers are crafted, as much as possible, to incorporate the very words of the Scripture."

Never before in the history of our country has America faced a moral crisis like the one before us today. The foundations of our government are crumbling right before our eyes. Our churches are abandoning God, our families are in shambles. There is only one hope for restoration - the Lord Jesus Christ.
