Lord Jesus, I bring myself and ______________________ before your throne today, and ask for the continued work of the Spirit in our lives. I thank you that it is your will and delight to work through us as your servants, and that you entrust your work to us. I am grateful that you grant responsibility to us according to our ability; may we remember that you will never give us more than we can handle. I pray that we all will take the gifts and talents and opportunities you give to us and immediately put them to work for your sake and for the advance of your kingdom. I ask you to bless the work of our hands and enlarge our territory. I pray that no one of us will excuse ourselves from the work of the kingdom through laziness or indifference. When you return, may each of us be able to show you what we have gained for your kingdom in your absence. I pray that each of us will hear from your lips that we have been good and faithful servants. I pray that you will honor our faithfulness in few things by putting us in charge of many things when you set up your kingdom. As we are faithful to you, I pray that each one of us who has responsibility and opportunity in your kingdom will be given more so that we may have an abundance. I pray that we will enter into your happiness and joy and share them with you as our master. We look forward to that day when you come in your glory, with all your angels, and sit on your throne. We believe that on that day all nations will be gathered before you for judgment. I pray that each of us will give the hungry something to eat, the thirsty something to drink, invite strangers into our homes, clothe the naked, look after the sick, and visit those in prison, so that we may be blessed by your Father and take our inheritance on that day, the kingdom prepared for us since the creation of the world. It is in your name as our once and coming King that I pray, amen.
