A Daily Prayer based on Mark 7:24-37

Lord Jesus, We know that the Father sent you first to the children of Israel. Yet we read here about how you cast a demon out of the daughter of a Gentile and healed another Gentile who was both deaf and dumb. I pray today for myself and for ______________________, that we will never think that we are in some way outside the circle of those you are willing to help with your healing power. I pray especially for those of us who are parents. You see the depth of the love we have for our children, and how in body and soul we fall on our knees before you, asking for your grace and power for them. I pray that you will hear our prayers and deliver our children from all spiritual bondage and oppression. I ask you to open our ears so that we may hear and understand your word. Open our ears in relationships with others that we may be good listeners. Make us attentive, sympathetic, and understanding. I also ask you to open our mouths that we may speak words of truth and encouragement and exhortation to others. Remove any restraint that keeps our tongues from being used for your purposes. May our words to others be like apples of gold in settings of silver. By your grace, may no unwholesome or rotten talk come out of our mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen. In your name I ask these things, amen.

"There is no better way to pray according to the will of God than by praying his own word back to him. These daily prayers are crafted, as much as possible, to incorporate the very words of the Scripture."

Our churches are abandoning God, our families are in shambles. There is only one hope for restoration - the Lord Jesus Christ.
