A Daily Prayer based on Mark 12:1-27

Lord Jesus, I pray that ______________________ and I will always honor you and respect you as the Son of God and the heir of all things. May we shrink back from doing anything to oppose you or your servants or your rightful claim to every area of our lives. Even though others reject you, I pray that you will always be the cornerstone of our lives. May we always see that your life and ministry was the Lord’s doing and may your work always be marvelous in our eyes. Make us good citizens with a proper respect toward civil authority. When it comes to taxes and other civic duties, grant us a willingness to “render to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s.” As Caesar’s likeness and inscription was found on what properly belonged to him, so may we see that your likeness is found on what properly belongs to you. May we always realize that we have been made in the image of God and “render to God the things that are God’s” by giving ourselves completely to you. I pray that we will ground our lives on the knowledge of the Scriptures and the power of God. May we always be true and faithful to your word and not care about the opinions of others. May we not be swayed by appearances but always be governed by the way of God as it is found in your word. Grant us an assurance of the resurrection from the dead. Remind us that you are not the God of the dead but of the living, and that as surely as you raised Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob so you will raise us from the dead. This I pray in your name, amen.

"There is no better way to pray according to the will of God than by praying his own word back to him. These daily prayers are crafted, as much as possible, to incorporate the very words of the Scripture."

Never before in the history of our country has America faced a moral crisis like the one before us today. The foundations of our government are crumbling right before our eyes. Our churches are abandoning God, our families are in shambles. There is only one hope for restoration - the Lord Jesus Christ.
