A Daily Prayer based on Luke 21:5-24

Lord Jesus, I pray for protection for ______________________ and me from deception. May we never be deceived by false teachers or follow any false prophets who claim to speak in your name. We together pray that the veil of deception would be removed from all in our community who have fallen prey to counterfeit spirituality and counterfeit versions of Christianity. May they be led from darkness to light. I pray that neither we nor our families will be alarmed or frightened when we hear of wars and revolutions, or earthquakes and famines. When nations rise against nations, and kingdoms rise against kingdoms, may we keep our eyes fixed on you and continue to place our firm hope in your return. Lord, we are grateful that we are protected from much of the persecution that our brothers and sisters around the globe experience. We release your sustaining strength into the life of each believer who is being persecuted and may be on trial or in prison, and who faces the threat of death. May their hope in the resurrection sustain them. I pray that we will possess such a deep allegiance to you that we ourselves will be willing to suffer persecution on account of your name. May our circumstances, whatever they are, result in opportunities for us to be witnesses to those around us, even to kings and governors. I pray that when you open a door for us to speak you will give us words and wisdom that none of our adversaries will be able to withstand or contradict. May we claim your promise that through endurance we will gain our lives, and that, because of the resurrection, not a hair of our head will perish even if we are put to death for our faith. This I pray in your name, amen.

"There is no better way to pray according to the will of God than by praying his own word back to him. These daily prayers are crafted, as much as possible, to incorporate the very words of the Scripture."

Never before in the history of our country has America faced a moral crisis like the one before us today. The foundations of our government are crumbling right before our eyes. Our churches are abandoning God, our families are in shambles. There is only one hope for restoration - the Lord Jesus Christ.
