A Daily Prayer based on Luke 21:25-38

Lord Jesus, I pray that ______________________ and I will all live with an expectation of your Second Coming, that we will lift up our heads believing that your return is the ultimate day of our redemption. I pray that our hope in your return will steady us when others are in anguish and perplexity and apprehensive of what is coming on the world. May we believe that the kingdom of God is drawing nearer every day. May our hope in your return be secure and firm. I pray that we will accept your affirmation that heaven and earth will pass away but your words, especially those promising your Second Coming, will never pass away. Lord, you teach us that this day will come upon all those who live on the face of the whole earth. May we be always on the watch and always praying that we may be able to escape all that will happen on that day. I pray that we will be careful not to let our hearts be weighed down by partying, drunkenness, or even the anxieties of life so that the sharp edge of our expectation may not be dulled. May we always be prepared so that that day will not close on us unexpectedly like a trap. I pray that when that day comes, each one of us will be able to stand before you as the Son of Man. Lord, I also pray that as the people in your day came early in the morning to hear you teach at the temple, so we will rise early to meet with you and allow you to teach us through your word. Amen.

"There is no better way to pray according to the will of God than by praying his own word back to him. These daily prayers are crafted, as much as possible, to incorporate the very words of the Scripture."

Our churches are abandoning God, our families are in shambles. There is only one hope for restoration - the Lord Jesus Christ.
