A Daily Prayer based on Luke 2:1-20

Lord Jesus, I pray for myself and for ______________________ today, that the story of your birth will always be good news for each of us. May you be our greatest source of joy. I pray that we will always worship you as our Savior, our Messiah, and our Lord. May we always treasure the things of your word and ponder them in our hearts. Father, I pray that your glory will shine around us, and that you will work in our lives so that the things we hear and see will cause us to join with the armies of heaven in glorifying and praising you as the God who lives in the highest heaven. May your favor rest on us that we may experience peace on earth, peace with you and peace with those around us. Reveal your Son to us that we may spread the word concerning him to others. We pray together that the news of his birth will be good news of great joy to every man, woman, and child in our city and nation. In the name of the Savior who was born in the town of David, amen.

"There is no better way to pray according to the will of God than by praying his own word back to him. These daily prayers are crafted, as much as possible, to incorporate the very words of the Scripture."
