A Daily Prayer based on Luke 18:35-19:10

Lord Jesus, Son of David, When ______________________ and I find ourselves in difficult circumstances, perhaps up against something that is beyond our ability to control, I pray that we will call out to you as the blind beggar did, and ask you to have mercy on us. May we be persistent in seeking mercy from you, calling out to you until you answer. I pray in your name that you will be gracious to us in that hour, that you will hear the cry of our heart, and answer our prayer and meet us at our point of need. May our faith lead to our healing and restoration, prompt us to praise you, and strengthen our resolve to follow you. I pray that others will see the display of your mercy in our lives and be moved to praise God themselves. As Zacchaeus did, I pray that we will always welcome you into our lives and into our homes. May your salvation come to our homes and to every single member of our families, that each one may be a son or daughter of Abraham. I pray that you will make us generous with our wealth, and that you will prompt us to make things right with anyone we have wronged. May we observe the highest ethical standards in all our professional conduct. Lord, your heart was to seek and to save what was lost. Create that same heart in each of us that our hearts may burn with the desire to see the lost find salvation in you. May we be willing to reach out to social outcasts, even in the face of criticism, and "be the guest of sinners" that many may come into the kingdom. Amen.

"There is no better way to pray according to the will of God than by praying his own word back to him. These daily prayers are crafted, as much as possible, to incorporate the very words of the Scripture."

Never before in the history of our country has America faced a moral crisis like the one before us today. The foundations of our government are crumbling right before our eyes. Our churches are abandoning God, our families are in shambles. There is only one hope for restoration - the Lord Jesus Christ.
