A Daily Prayer based on Luke 18:1-17

Heavenly Father, I pray for ______________________ and for myself, especially for those times when we are victims of injustice, when we are being treated unjustly or denied what is rightfully ours. Your Son taught us that in such circumstances we should always pray and never give up. I pray in his name that each of us will develop the habit of persistent, consistent, persevering prayer in response to injustice. Please keep us from giving way to discouragement and giving up in the face of injustice. Remind us that, unlike the judge in this story, you are a just judge. Remind us, that unlike the widow who had no social status, we have been chosen by you and handpicked to belong to you. I pray that we will cry out to you day and night, and I claim the promise of Jesus that you will not keep putting us off but will see that we get justice, and that we get it quickly. I pray that when you come to us you will find in each of us a persistent faith that perseveres in trusting you for justice until you act on our behalf. I pray that you will free us from all pride and self-righteousness and any attitude of moral superiority toward others. Remind us that if we exalt ourselves, we will be humbled. May we instead always have a humble awareness of our own sinfulness, and plead with you to have mercy on us as sinners so that we may be justified before you. I pray that we will humble ourselves under your mighty hand, and receive your kingdom with the simple faith of a child, so that we may be exalted by you in due time. I pray these things in the name of Jesus. Amen.

"There is no better way to pray according to the will of God than by praying his own word back to him. These daily prayers are crafted, as much as possible, to incorporate the very words of the Scripture."

Welcome

Never before in the history of our country has America faced a moral crisis like the one before us today. The foundations of our government are crumbling right before our eyes. Our churches are abandoning God, our families are in shambles. There is only one hope for restoration - the Lord Jesus Christ.
