A Daily Prayer based on Luke 1:57-80

Father, I pray to you as the Lord, the God of Israel, and as the Most High God. I pray in the name of Jesus for myself and for ______________________ today, that you will show each one of us great mercy, so great that our neighbors and relatives will share our joy and be filled with praise. May your hand be with us, and may our mouths be opened and our tongues loosed that we might praise you. I pray that we will be filled with the Holy Spirit. I ask you to visit us and redeem us, and raise up a horn of salvation for us. Grant us salvation from our enemies, seen and unseen, and from the hand of all who hate us. I pray that you will show mercy to us, and remember your holy covenant, the oath you swore to rescue us from the hand of our enemies. Enable us to serve you without fear in holiness and righteousness all our days. May we each be called a spokesman of the Most High, and go on before you to prepare the way for you. Make us strong in spirit and give people around us the knowledge of salvation through the forgiveness of their sins. Because of your tender mercy at work through us, may the rising sun come from heaven and give light to those around us living in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide their feet into the path of peace with you and with others. Amen.

"There is no better way to pray according to the will of God than by praying his own word back to him. These daily prayers are crafted, as much as possible, to incorporate the very words of the Scripture."

Our churches are abandoning God, our families are in shambles. There is only one hope for restoration - the Lord Jesus Christ.
