A Daily Prayer based on II Timothy 4

Lord Jesus, I pray in your name that ______________________ and I will be prepared to speak a word of truth in season or out of season, whether it is convenient or inconvenient. When it is right for us to correct, or rebuke, or encourage, may we do so with great patience and careful instruction. I pray that we will always embrace sound teaching, and never seek out teachers who will tell us what we want to hear rather than what we need to hear, simply to suit our own desires. May we never turn our ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths. Instead, may we always be on our guard against anyone who strongly opposes the word of truth. I pray that we will keep our head in all situations, endure hardship, and do the work of an evangelist as you open to us doors for the word. May we faithfully discharge all the duties of ministry that you have assigned to us. When the time of our departure comes, I pray that we will be able to say in good conscience that we have fought the good fight, finished the race you set before us, and kept the faith. I pray that you, as the righteous Judge, will award to us the crown of righteousness on that day. If anyone does us great harm, I pray that we will trust in your promise that you will repay the offender for what he has done. When we are under great pressure, and deserted by those who should support us, I pray that we will be able to pray that their desertion will not be held against them. I pray that you yourself will stand at our side and give us strength. Please rescue us from every evil attack and bring us safely to your heavenly kingdom. I pray that you will be with our spirit, and that your grace will always be with us. To you be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

"There is no better way to pray according to the will of God than by praying his own word back to him. These daily prayers are crafted, as much as possible, to incorporate the very words of the Scripture."

Never before in the history of our country has America faced a moral crisis like the one before us today. The foundations of our government are crumbling right before our eyes. Our churches are abandoning God, our families are in shambles. There is only one hope for restoration - the Lord Jesus Christ.
