A Daily Prayer based on II Timothy 3

Lord Jesus, I pray in your name for ______________________ and for myself this day, especially in light of your word that there will be terrible times in the last days, and that evil men and imposters will go from bad to worse, both deceiving others and being deceived themselves. I pray against those in our culture who refuse to acknowledge the truth and who instead oppose it in the depravity of their minds. May their folly become clear to everyone so that they will not get very far. I pray that you will enable us to walk in the opposite spirit of what we see around us. May we be lovers of others rather than ourselves; lovers of you rather than of money; humble rather than boastful or proud or conceited; gracious rather than abusive; grateful, holy, and loving; forgiving, never slanderous; self-controlled, kind instead of brutal; a lover of what is good; faithful rather than treacherous; thoughtful rather than rash; a lover of God rather than a lover of pleasure. I pray that we will manifest the reality and not just the form of godliness and display your power in all we do. I pray that we will always acknowledge the truth and never oppose it. May our minds be righteous and never depraved; may we be accepted rather than rejected as far as the faith is concerned. I pray that we will hold on to the teaching of your word, and imitate the way of life we see in men of faith. Grant us a clear understanding of our purpose in life. Fill us with faith, patience, love, and endurance. You teach us that everyone who wants to live a godly life in you will be persecuted; please rescue us and protect us when persecution and sufferings do come. I pray that we will continue unwaveringly in what we have learned and become convinced of. Make us wise for the salvation that comes by faith in you through our study of your word. I pray that we will always affirm that the Scripture, every part of it, is God-breathed. Use it as a means of instruction, rebuke, correction, and training in righteousness, both in our lives and through us with others. May our children and grandchildren learn the holy Scriptures even from infancy. I pray that through our study of your word we may become people of God and become thoroughly equipped for every good work you have planned for us to do. Amen.

"There is no better way to pray according to the will of God than by praying his own word back to him. These daily prayers are crafted, as much as possible, to incorporate the very words of the Scripture."

Welcome

Never before in the history of our country has America faced a moral crisis like the one before us today. The foundations of our government are crumbling right before our eyes. Our churches are abandoning God, our families are in shambles. There is only one hope for restoration - the Lord Jesus Christ.
