A Daily Prayer based on Galatians 2

Lord Jesus, I pray in your name that you will grant to each of us – to me and to ______________________ - the same conviction Paul had about the truth of your gospel. May we never yield for a moment to those who would infiltrate the ranks of the body of Christ to spy on the freedom we have in Christ and make us slaves to legalism. May we be willing, if necessary, to stand alone for the truth and oppose to his face one who is clearly in the wrong and not acting in line with the truth of the gospel. Please keep us from drawing back and separating ourselves from others based on legalistic and extra-biblical standards of behavior. I pray that we will never seek to force other believers to follow the custom of men rather than the word of God. Protect us from being led astray into hypocrisy by pressuring others to live up to customs we ourselves do not follow. I pray that we will be so focused on pleasing you that even those who seem to be important will have no more than their rightful place in our thinking. May their status make no difference to us. May we not judge by external appearance any more than your Father does. I pray that we will not be influenced in our actions and decisions by the fear of men. May we put our full faith in you so that we may be justified by faith in you and not by observing the law. I pray that we will never set aside the grace of God by believing that righteousness can be gained through the law. May we all die to the law, giving up the idea that we can be justified in the sight of your Father by our own behavior, in order that we might live for God. I pray that we will live out the truth that we have been crucified with Christ. May we no longer live; instead may Christ live in us. I pray that the life we live in the body we will live by faith in you. We praise you as the one who loved us and gave yourself up for us. Amen.

"There is no better way to pray according to the will of God than by praying his own word back to him. These daily prayers are crafted, as much as possible, to incorporate the very words of the Scripture."

Our churches are abandoning God, our families are in shambles. There is only one hope for restoration - the Lord Jesus Christ.
