A Daily Prayer based on Acts 2: 37-47

Heavenly Father, We pray together that those who live in our community and nation will hear the gospel, be cut to the heart, and ask, as the residents of Jerusalem did, "What shall we do?" May they repent and be baptized, every one of them, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of their sins. I pray that they all will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. I claim this promise not just for us but also for our children, and for our children's children. May each of our children and our grandchildren and the children born to them come to faith in Jesus and receive forgiveness of sins and the gift of the Holy Spirit. Father, you also say this promise is for those who are far off, for all whom you, the Lord our God, will call. We ask you to call many in our extended families, in our neighborhoods, in our community and in our nation who are now far off. We ask you to call them to faith in your Son. I pray that every man, woman, and child in our city and nation will be prompted to save themselves from this corrupt generation. I pray that we will devote ourselves to the apostles' teaching and to fellowship. Cause us by your Spirit to devote ourselves to the breaking of bread and to prayer. May we all be filled with awe because of the many wonders and miraculous signs that are done through the anointed leadership of your church. We pray that all the believers in our church and in this city will be together and have everything in common. May we sell possessions and goods if necessary in order to give to anyone as he has need. I pray that we will meet every day in the "temple courts" you have provided for us, and meet in homes to fellowship and break bread together with glad and sincere hearts. We pray that we will be a church that praises you and enjoys the favor of all the people. We plead with you to add to our number daily those who are being saved. This we pray in the name of Jesus, amen.

"There is no better way to pray according to the will of God than by praying his own word back to him. These daily prayers are crafted, as much as possible, to incorporate the very words of the Scripture."

Welcome

Never before in the history of our country has America faced a moral crisis like the one before us today. The foundations of our government are crumbling right before our eyes. Our churches are abandoning God, our families are in shambles. There is only one hope for restoration - the Lord Jesus Christ.
