A Daily Prayer based on Acts 2:14-36

Lord Jesus, I ask you to pour out your Spirit on me and on ______________________ , on every one of us. May you pour out on us all the gifts of the Spirit that we may minister to each other and to those around us in the power of the Spirit. I ask you to show wonders in the heavens above and signs on the earth below to confirm the gospel. I pray that through the manifestation of your Spirit working in each of us many will call on the name of the Lord and be saved. Together we release into our community the truth that you were accredited by miracles, wonders and signs, which God did through you. We release the truth that you were handed over to men by God's set purpose and foreknowledge, men who put you to death by nailing you to the cross. But above all we release into our community the truth that God raised you from the dead, freeing you from the agony of death, because it was impossible for death to keep its hold on you. We declare together that this is the teaching of Scripture through your prophet David, and that in accordance with the Scripture you have been raised to life and have been exalted to the right hand of God where you received from the Father the promised Holy Spirit and have poured it out on us. We declare together that you are both Lord and Christ. I pray that you will do for us what your Father did for you. May you always be before us. Please be at our right hand so that we will not be shaken. May our hearts be glad and our tongues rejoice, and our bodies live in hope. May we know and believe that you will not abandon us to the grave nor let us see decay. Please make known to us the paths of life, and fill us with joy in your presence. This I pray in your name, amen.

"There is no better way to pray according to the will of God than by praying his own word back to him. These daily prayers are crafted, as much as possible, to incorporate the very words of the Scripture."

Never before in the history of our country has America faced a moral crisis like the one before us today. The foundations of our government are crumbling right before our eyes. Our churches are abandoning God, our families are in shambles. There is only one hope for restoration - the Lord Jesus Christ.
