A Daily Prayer based on Psalm 94

Sovereign Lord, We acknowledge that you are the judge of the earth, a God of vengeance and justice. We bring our complaint before you this day, against those who are proud, who are full of boasting and pour out arrogant words while they crush your people and oppress your inheritance. We see wicked rulers, who frame injustice by statute and bring misery by their decrees. There are times when they band together against the life of the righteous and condemn the innocent, and we know they cannot be allied with you. They seem to believe that, even though you implanted the ear, you do not hear, and even though your formed the eye, you do not see. I pray that you, O Lord, the one who disciplines the nations, will shine forth and repay the proud what they deserve. I pray that you will dig a pit for those who misuse their power, and bring their own iniquity back on them, that justice may once again be founded on righteousness. I pray that you will not abandon your heritage or forsake your people, but instead that you will cause justice to return to the righteous that all the upright in heart may follow it. Please grant us the courage we need so that, when you summon us, we will be prepared to rise up for your people against the wicked and stand up for your people against evildoers. I pray this day for ______________________ as well as for myself. I pray that your steadfast love will hold us up when our foot slips. We freely confess that if you are not our help, our soul will soon live in the land of silence. When the cares of our heart are many, and anxiety is great within us, may your consolations cheer our soul. I pray that you will be our stronghold and the rock of our refuge, and give us rest from days of trouble. You know our thoughts, Lord, that they are but the thoughts of man and are but a breath. So please teach us your knowledge. I pray that you will rebuke us and discipline us as you see fit that you may teach us out of your word, for we know that the man whom you discipline is blessed. I pray these things in the name of Jesus, amen.

"There is no better way to pray according to the will of God than by praying his own word back to him. These daily prayers are crafted, as much as possible, to incorporate the very words of the Scripture."

Never before in the history of our country has America faced a moral crisis like the one before us today. The foundations of our government are crumbling right before our eyes. Our churches are abandoning God, our families are in shambles. There is only one hope for restoration - the Lord Jesus Christ.
