A Daily Prayer based on Psalm 119:105-128

Lord God, In Jesus’ name, I bring myself and ______________________ before you this day, and pray that you will accept the willing praise of our mouth and teach us your laws. We affirm that your word is a lamp to our feet, and a light for our path. May your statutes be our heritage forever and the joy of our heart. May our hearts be set on keeping your decrees to the very end. I ask you to preserve our life according to your word when we suffer much and take our lives in our hands. Even when double-minded and wicked men set snares for us, may we not stray from your precepts or forget your law. I pray that you will not leave us to our adversaries or let the arrogant oppress us. Please act when your law is being broken, and deal with us according to your love. I pray that we will put our hope in your word, and that you will be our refuge and our shield. Sustain us according to your promise, and uphold us that we may be delivered from harm. Ensure our well-being as we do what is righteous and just. Give us discernment that we may understand your statutes. We know that you reject all who stray from your decrees and discard the wicked like dross. And so cause us to be those who love your commands more than pure gold and consider all your precepts right. May you find us to be those who tremble in fear of you, love your statutes, stand in awe of your laws, and hate every wrong path. Amen.

"There is no better way to pray according to the will of God than by praying his own word back to him. These daily prayers are crafted, as much as possible, to incorporate the very words of the Scripture."
