A Daily Prayer based on Nehemiah 13

Lord God, In Jesus’ name, I pray for myself and for ______________________ this day. I ask you to purify us, our churches, and our cities by the blood of Jesus from everything that contaminates body, soul, or spirit. Please show us our assigned duties, that each of us may give ourselves fully to the tasks you have given to us. May we be considered trustworthy and faithful. Prompt us to read your Word and to do what we find written there. Remember us, O God, for good and do not blot out what we faithfully do for you and your house, the church of Christ. Please remember us with favor and show us mercy according to your great love. May every curse spoken against us be turned into a blessing. May we become greatly displeased, as Nehemiah was, by evil things. Show us when to warn and rebuke others that your house may not be neglected, your Word may be obeyed, and your people may be purified. Grant us political leaders like Nehemiah who will provide strong and decisive moral leadership in our land and see that the laws are faithfully executed. Give them resolve and clarity as they deal with the assimilation of those who come to our shores from foreign lands. Guide those who are single among us in their choice of a marriage partner. Warn them against being unfaithful to you by marrying outside the household of the faith. Remind them that even though there was no king like Solomon among the nations, and even though he was loved by his God, he was led into sin in this way. May they not give themselves or their sons or daughters in marriage to those outside the faith. Amen.

"There is no better way to pray according to the will of God than by praying his own word back to him. These daily prayers are crafted, as much as possible, to incorporate the very words of the Scripture."

Welcome

Never before in the history of our country has America faced a moral crisis like the one before us today. The foundations of our government are crumbling right before our eyes. Our churches are abandoning God, our families are in shambles. There is only one hope for restoration - the Lord Jesus Christ.
