A Daily Prayer based on Nehemiah 11

Lord God, We pray for our civic leaders today – our mayor, our governor, and our president, along with all elected officials. Give them and their agents in all affairs relating to the people the wisdom you gave to the leaders of the people in Nehemiah’s day, so that our public policies may be consistent with your will. We offer requests, prayers, intercession, and thanksgiving on their behalf, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. May our leaders commend those who do right, and hold terror for those who do wrong. We pray for those who exercise authority and leadership in our own churches and in your larger church in our city. May your blessing rest on those who open the Word to us, that their message and preaching may not be with wise and persuasive words but with a demonstration of the Spirit and power. Prompt our pastors to keep spiritual watch at the gates of our city. In Jesus’ name, we ask that your blessing may rest on those who lead us in worship, thanksgiving, and prayer and are responsible for the service in your house. May we worship you in Spirit and in truth. Amen.

"There is no better way to pray according to the will of God than by praying his own word back to him. These daily prayers are crafted, as much as possible, to incorporate the very words of the Scripture."

Our churches are abandoning God, our families are in shambles. There is only one hope for restoration - the Lord Jesus Christ.
