A Daily Prayer based on II Chronicles 29:1-31:1

Father, I pray this day for myself and for ______________________ in the name of your Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. You have told us that under the New Covenant we ourselves are temples of your Holy Spirit. Prompt us to consecrate ourselves and to remove all defilement from our lives. May we purify ourselves from everything that contaminates us in body and spirit. I pray that we will do what is right in your eyes. We confess that we as a people have been unfaithful to you and have turned our backs to you and our faces away from you. May our hearts be willing to return to you so that you may return to us. I pray that we will not be stiff-necked but instead humble ourselves before you and yield ourselves to you. I claim your promise for us that you will not turn your face from us if we return to you. I pray that we will consecrate ourselves to cleanse your church from all defilement and uncleanness. Keep us from being negligent in this, and remind us that you have chosen each of us to stand before you, serve you, and minister before you. May we show good understanding of your service, and be conscientious and upright in heart in consecrating ourselves to you. I pray that your hand will be on us to give us unity of mind and oneness of heart to do what you command in your word. May we bow our heads in worship before you, sing praises with gladness, and celebrate joyfully in your presence. We pray for political leaders for our land who will do what is right in your eyes and who will urge this nation to turn back to you, and who will have it in their hearts to make a fresh covenant with you so that your anger may turn away from us. We pray that you will call many to return to you and yield themselves to you once again and serve you as Lord and God. We thank you that if we return to you, we will be shown compassion because you are gracious and compassionate. May you, in your goodness, pardon everyone who sets his heart on seeking you. We know that when spiritual awakening comes to a nation, it may come suddenly, and so we pray that it may happen in our day. May this prayer, offered in Jesus’ name, reach heaven, your holy dwelling place. Amen.

"There is no better way to pray according to the will of God than by praying his own word back to him. These daily prayers are crafted, as much as possible, to incorporate the very words of the Scripture."

Welcome

Never before in the history of our country has America faced a moral crisis like the one before us today. The foundations of our government are crumbling right before our eyes. Our churches are abandoning God, our families are in shambles. There is only one hope for restoration - the Lord Jesus Christ.
