A Daily Prayer based on II Chronicles 26-28

Sovereign Lord, I bring myself and ______________________ before you today in Jesus’ name. By the work of your Spirit, may we each do what is right in your eyes and set our hearts to seek you. Bring men into our lives who will instruct us in the fear and vision of God. I pray that you will help us and grant us success as long as we seek you. When we are strong, I pray that you will protect us from the pride which will lead to our destruction. In times of distress, may we become more faithful to you, not less, so that you may continue to honor us. I pray that we will walk steadfastly before you as the Lord our God that we may grow powerful in you. Remind us when are tempted to be harsh with others that we are guilty of sins of our own against you. Equip us with the weapons of spiritual warfare that we may be a part of your spiritual army, well trained and ready to make war with mighty power against the enemy of our souls. I pray that we will become strong because we have ordered our ways before you, the Lord our God. We know that political leaders who are faithless and proud can lead our nation to ruin and destruction. And so we pray during every election season that we will choose leaders who seek you and who seek to do what is right in your eyes. Grant our president and all public officials success as long as they seek you, and cause them to walk steadfastly before you. We pray that you will raise up spiritual leaders in our land who with one voice will speak truth to power and rebuke political leaders who do what is wrong. We pray that you will humble and remove from office those public officials who out of their pride promote wickedness in our land and are unfaithful to you. We pray for our military, that they will be trained for war and a powerful force to protect us against our enemies. Remind us that the success of our military and our national security is connected to our willingness as a people to trust you. I pray that we will abandon our corrupt practices, especially the shedding of the innocent blood of our sons and daughters through abortion, and do what is right in your eyes. Amen.

"There is no better way to pray according to the will of God than by praying his own word back to him. These daily prayers are crafted, as much as possible, to incorporate the very words of the Scripture."

Welcome

Never before in the history of our country has America faced a moral crisis like the one before us today. The foundations of our government are crumbling right before our eyes. Our churches are abandoning God, our families are in shambles. There is only one hope for restoration - the Lord Jesus Christ.
