A Daily Prayer based on II Chronicles 25

Lord God, I ask today for myself and for ______________________ in the name of Jesus. I pray that by the work of your Spirit we each may do what is right in your eyes, and do it wholeheartedly. I pray that everything we do will be done in accordance with what is written in the Scripture. I ask you to alert us to those times when we are depending upon others when you want us to depend upon you. We accept the truth of your word that you have power to help or to cast down, and that we will be overthrown, even if we fight courageously, if we do not trust wholly in you. I pray that our hearts will not lift us up in boastfulness but rather that we will humble ourselves under your mighty hand. When it costs us something to transfer our dependence wholly to you, remind us that you are able to give us much more than anything we have given up. Keep us from turning away from following you. I pray that we will not reject godly counsel out of pride. Grant us discernment to recognize when you are speaking to us through others, that we may listen to your counsel and obey your voice. We pray for our president and all elected officials, that they will do what is right in your eyes and do it with a whole heart. We pray that they will punish the guilty but protect the innocent. We see here the danger an entire nation enters into when its leaders do not follow you with a whole heart and threaten and silence those who give them truthful and godly counsel. And we pray that you will give us leaders who understand that our nation’s military cannot be strong unless our nation’s faith is strong. I pray for our leaders that their hearts will not lift them up in boastfulness so that they will listen to good counsel and not turn away from you. Amen.

"There is no better way to pray according to the will of God than by praying his own word back to him. These daily prayers are crafted, as much as possible, to incorporate the very words of the Scripture."

Our churches are abandoning God, our families are in shambles. There is only one hope for restoration - the Lord Jesus Christ.
