A Daily Prayer based on Ezekiel 12-13

Lord God, We know that we as a nation are a rebellious people, a rebellious house, with eyes to see that do not see, and ears to hear that do not hear. And so I pray that you will open our eyes that we may see you and open our ears that we may hear and understand your truth. May we all come to know that you and you alone are the Lord. We pray that every word you have spoken will be fulfilled. We acknowledge your right to speak what you will, and to fulfill it without delay. May none of your words be delayed any longer; instead, I pray the word you speak will be performed, that we may know that you are the Sovereign Lord. We confess that there are many political, cultural and spiritual leaders among our people who speak out of their own heart and their own imagination and follow their own spirit. They say, “The Lord declares” when you have not sent them or spoken to them. They lie to our people and lead them astray by giving false visions of peace, and by saying "Peace" when there is no peace. They dishearten the righteous falsely and encourage the wicked, and they put to death souls who should not die and keep alive souls who should not live. May your hand be against those who profane you and ensnare our people by speaking lies in your name. Set free the people they have ensnared, and save and deliver us from their hands, that we may no longer fall prey to their power or listen to their lies. Raise up among us spiritual leaders who will declare your truth without compromise, who will encourage the righteous and exhort the wicked to turn from their evil ways in order to save their lives. I pray that our leaders will repair the breaks and breaches in the wall that protects our culture so that it may stand firm in the day of spiritual and moral battle. This we pray in the name of Jesus, amen.

"There is no better way to pray according to the will of God than by praying his own word back to him. These daily prayers are crafted, as much as possible, to incorporate the very words of the Scripture."

Our churches are abandoning God, our families are in shambles. There is only one hope for restoration - the Lord Jesus Christ.
