Lord Jesus, We worship you this day as the Son of God, as the Son whom your Father loves and with whom he is well pleased. You have received glory and honor from him, the one who is the Majestic Glory. I pray this day for ______________________ and myself in your name. I pray that we will come to know the truth of your word and become firmly established in it. I ask you to stir us up by way of reminder through our spiritual leaders and friends so that our memory will always be refreshed and we will always remember the great truths of Scripture. Confirm in our hearts and minds that we are not following cleverly invented stories when we believe in your power and your coming, but are accepting the eyewitness testimony of those who knew you in the days of your incarnation, who saw your majesty and heard the voice of your Father that came down from heaven. May we have great confidence in the Scripture, and carry the quiet assurance in our souls that no portion of Scripture had its origin in the will of man. May we know and understand that every word of Scripture has come to us through men who spoke from God and who were carried along by the Holy Spirit as they wrote. May your word be to us a light shining in a dark place until the day of your return dawns and the morning star rises in our hearts. Amen.
