A Daily Prayer based on Job 25-27

Lord God Almighty, I worship you this day as the one who stretches out the northern skies over empty space and suspends the earth over nothing. You wrap up the waters in your thick clouds, and cover the face of the full moon by spreading over it your cloud. The pillars of heaven quake and are astounded at your rebuke. By your power you stilled the sea. And these are but the outer fringes of your works, and only a faint whisper of the thunder of your power. Lord, there is no number to your armies; there is no one on earth upon whom your light does not rise. The moon is not bright in comparison to your splendor, and not even the stars are pure in your eyes. And so I ask how can a man be righteous before you, and how can he who is born of woman be pure? I know that judgment is the portion of a wicked man, and that oppressors inherit judgment from you as the Almighty One. Though he heap up silver like dust, and goes to bed rich, yet when he opens his eyes, his wealth will be gone and the innocent will divide his silver among themselves. Terrors will overtake him like a flood and in the night a whirlwind will carry him off. And so, Lord, I choose to hold fast to your steps, and to keep your way without turning aside from it or departing in any way from the commandment of your lips. I treasure your word more than my portion of food. I seek to obey you so that my heart and conscience will never reproach me as long as I live, and I may be innocent of any charge that is brought against me. As long as my breath is in me, and your Spirit is in my nostrils, my lips will not speak falsehood and my tongue will not utter deceit. Till I die I will not put away my integrity from me; I will hold fast my righteousness in you and will not let it go. May the accusations of my enemies, who falsely accuse me, fall to the ground. These things I pray in the name of Jesus, who has become for me the righteousness of God. Amen.

"There is no better way to pray according to the will of God than by praying his own word back to him. These daily prayers are crafted, as much as possible, to incorporate the very words of the Scripture."

Our churches are abandoning God, our families are in shambles. There is only one hope for restoration - the Lord Jesus Christ.
