A Daily Prayer based on Jeremiah 49:1-33

Lord God, I bow before you this day and acknowledge your sovereignty over all the nations of the world, including my own. I pray for my own people, that we will not boast of our riches or trust in our riches. May we not be deceived by the terror we inspire in others and the pride of our own hearts. We have seen that even a nation at ease, which lives in confidence, can be attacked. Even though we build our nest as high as the eagle’s, from there you can bring us down. Remind us that no one is like you, and no one can challenge you. No ruler can stand against you. May we once again as a people trust in you to protect our lives and defend us against our enemies. I pray that you will once again delight in our cities and our nation. I pray especially this day for ______________________, and I ask you to do for me what you do for them. I pray that we will not boast in ourselves or in our riches but boast only in you. Grant us wisdom and counsel and prudence that we may make good decisions this day. Keep us from being deceived by the pride of our own hearts. When we are disheartened and troubled like the restless sea, when anguish and pain seize us, I pray that you will come to our aid. Teach us to trust in you. Please protect us and carry out every good purpose and plan you have for our lives. It is in Jesus’ name that I ask these things. Amen.

"There is no better way to pray according to the will of God than by praying his own word back to him. These daily prayers are crafted, as much as possible, to incorporate the very words of the Scripture."

Our churches are abandoning God, our families are in shambles. There is only one hope for restoration - the Lord Jesus Christ.
