A Daily Prayer based on Jeremiah 44-45

Sovereign Lord, We know that the evil that a nation does can provoke you to anger, and cause your wrath to be poured out and kindled in its streets. I pray that as a city and a nation we will listen to your servants who warn us not to do the detestable things that you hate. May we listen and pay attention and turn from our wickedness, so that you may watch over us for good and not for harm. We acknowledge that in the end it is your word that will stand and not the word of man. And so I pray that we as a people will listen to every message spoken to us in your name. I pray that we will humble ourselves and show you reverence. May we obey you and follow the law and decrees you have set before us. I pray especially this day that you will prompt ______________________ and me by your Spirit to humble ourselves before you and show you reverence. I pray that we will not seek great things for ourselves but trust you to exalt us in due time. May we listen to every word spoken to us in your name, and obey you and follow the law and decrees that you have set before us. Please watch over us for good and not for harm. This I pray in Jesus’ name, amen.

"There is no better way to pray according to the will of God than by praying his own word back to him. These daily prayers are crafted, as much as possible, to incorporate the very words of the Scripture."

Our churches are abandoning God, our families are in shambles. There is only one hope for restoration - the Lord Jesus Christ.
