A Daily Prayer based on Ezekiel 14-15

Sovereign Lord, I pray that you will work in us, our leaders, and the people of our nation by your Spirit so that we will not need to be rebuked as these elders of Israel were. Keep us from setting up idols in our hearts or putting stumbling blocks of iniquity before our faces. Teach us to repent, to turn away from every idol, and turn our faces away from the things that estrange us from you. I pray that you will lay hold of our hearts so that we will not separate ourselves from you or desert you or act faithlessly toward you. I pray that your face will always smile on us and never have to be set against us. May we know that you are the Lord so that we will no longer stray from you or defile ourselves in any way with our sins. I pray that we will be your people, and you will be our God. May we be righteous, each one of us, and act in righteousness in time to save not only ourselves but also our sons and daughters. We know that you do nothing without cause, even when you permit hardship and violence and disease to come on our people as a form of your discipline. I pray that you will spare our children from your judgment and so work in our sons and daughters that when we see their conduct and their actions, we will be consoled over everything you have done, knowing that everything that has happened to them has happened for a purpose. In Jesus’ name we ask these things, amen.

"There is no better way to pray according to the will of God than by praying his own word back to him. These daily prayers are crafted, as much as possible, to incorporate the very words of the Scripture."

Our churches are abandoning God, our families are in shambles. There is only one hope for restoration - the Lord Jesus Christ.
