A Daily Prayer based on Deuteronomy 24-25

Sovereign Lord, I pray this day for ______________________ as well as for myself. I ask you to bless every marriage represented among us, that each husband may find his wife pleasing in his sight and each wife may find her husband pleasing in her sight. I ask you to strengthen every bond between husband and wife that has been created by your Holy Spirit that their union in body, soul, and spirit may be enriched. May each husband learn how to bring happiness to the wife he has married and may each wife learn how to bring happiness to the husband she has married. I pray that you will turn the hearts of the fathers in each family to their children, and turn the hearts of the children to their fathers. May each father among us know how to bring his children up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. Protect fathers from accepting too much responsibility for the sins of their children, and protect children from assigning too much blame to their fathers for their own sins. May each accept full responsibility before you for their own conduct. I pray that even children conceived in rape may be protected in law so that we do not put children to death for the sins of their fathers. I pray that we will be careful to do exactly what is written in your word, and follow carefully what you have commanded. I pray that you will give us rest when we are weary and worn out. I pray for our community and nation, that you will bind the spirit of adultery and divorce and release a spirit of unity, harmony, and faithfulness into each marriage. I pray that employers will not take advantage in any way of their hired men but pay them what they are owed. I pray that the highest standards of business ethics will be observed here and that everyone will remember that you detest anyone who deals dishonestly. May dignity and self-respect be honored in the making of loans. I pray that our laws regarding aliens will be just and will be fairly enforced. I pray that our judges will be given divine wisdom as they decide cases so that only the innocent will be acquitted and only the guilty will be condemned. I pray that our welfare system will be reformed so that the poor in our land will be released from a spirit of dependence and take advantage of opportunities to work with their own hands to provide for their own needs. These things I ask in the name of Jesus, amen.

"There is no better way to pray according to the will of God than by praying his own word back to him. These daily prayers are crafted, as much as possible, to incorporate the very words of the Scripture."

Welcome

Never before in the history of our country has America faced a moral crisis like the one before us today. The foundations of our government are crumbling right before our eyes. Our churches are abandoning God, our families are in shambles. There is only one hope for restoration - the Lord Jesus Christ.
