A Daily Prayer based on Deuteronomy 20-21

Sovereign Lord, You teach us that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, the authorities, the powers of this dark world, and the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. I pray this day for ______________________ and me as we go into spiritual battle against our unseen enemies. When we face overwhelming challenges, challenges that seem too much for us, may we not be fainthearted or afraid. I pray that we will not be terrified or give way to panic in any way. Instead may we claim your promise that you will go with us to fight for us against our enemies and give us victory. I pray for those of us who are parents. Please protect us from showing favoritism to one of our children over the others. Teach us how not to exasperate our children or provoke them to anger but instead to bring them up in the training and instruction that comes from you. Release into the lives of our children a spirit of obedience and honor. Remind them that the command to honor their parents is the first commandment with a promise. Teach us all to honor our mothers and fathers that things may go well for us and that we may enjoy long life on the earth. Please break the power of any spirit of stubbornness or rebellion which has assignments against our children, and fill them instead with a spirit of obedience and respect. May they listen to their parents and respond to their discipline. Fill our homes, I pray, with your Spirit of love, joy, and peace. I pray for our nation’s leaders, that you will grant them your wisdom when we must go to war against our enemies. May we as a nation always seek peace and terms of peace with our adversaries. I pray that we will, as a people, place our trust in you in those days that you may be with us and fight for us and give us the victory. Please protect the role of chaplains in our military, that they may be free to remind our armies that you will fight for us and give us victory if we place our trust in you. This I pray in Jesus’ name, amen.

"There is no better way to pray according to the will of God than by praying his own word back to him. These daily prayers are crafted, as much as possible, to incorporate the very words of the Scripture."

Welcome

Never before in the history of our country has America faced a moral crisis like the one before us today. The foundations of our government are crumbling right before our eyes. Our churches are abandoning God, our families are in shambles. There is only one hope for restoration - the Lord Jesus Christ.
