A Daily Prayer based on Deuteronomy 16-17

Sovereign Lord, I ask you to bless ______________________ and me in all the work of our hands that our joy may be complete. May we rejoice before you and celebrate our relationship with you. I pray that we will appear before you as often as you direct us to. I pray that we will not appear before you empty-handed but instead bring gifts to you in proportion to the way in which you have blessed us. I pray that we will keep a copy of your word with us, and that we will read it all the days of our lives. As we read your word, may we learn to revere you and follow carefully all the words of Scripture. I pray that we will not consider ourselves better than others, or turn from your word either to the right or to the left. I ask you to purge our community of the worship of any other gods so that you and you alone may be served and worshiped here. I pray that our judges and officials will judge with righteous judgment and will not pervert justice or show partiality in any way. I pray that they will not accept bribes that their eyes may not be blinded and that they may not subvert the cause of the righteous. I pray that they will not twist the words found in the law, but instead follow justice and justice alone. I pray for our president and for all elected officials, that they will not place their ultimate trust in the power of man but in the power of God. Bless their marriages and families and keep them from defiling their office through sexual infidelity. Free them from the corrupting influence of wealth that they may govern with righteousness and integrity of heart. I pray in each election season we will seek a president of your choosing, a leader who will read your word all the days of his life, a leader who will fear you and keep all the words of your law. I pray for a leader whose heart will not be lifted up above his brothers in pride and arrogance. Grant us instead a leader who will not turn aside from your commandments either to the right hand or to the left. This I ask in the name of Jesus, amen.

"There is no better way to pray according to the will of God than by praying his own word back to him. These daily prayers are crafted, as much as possible, to incorporate the very words of the Scripture."

Welcome

Never before in the history of our country has America faced a moral crisis like the one before us today. The foundations of our government are crumbling right before our eyes. Our churches are abandoning God, our families are in shambles. There is only one hope for restoration - the Lord Jesus Christ.
