A Daily Prayer based on Matthew 21:23-46

Lord Jesus, I worship you this day as the one who was rejected by the builders and yet who became God’s cornerstone. Your life, work and ministry was the Lord’s doing, and it is marvelous in our eyes. I pray for myself and for ______________________ , that we will never challenge your authority to do in our lives whatever you want to do. May we always recognize that your authority comes from heaven and not from men, and willingly yield every part of our lives to you. I pray that each of us will walk in the way of righteousness that you show to us, and be willing to repent whenever you show us our sin. I pray that we will work in the part of your vineyard you have assigned to each of us, and produce fruit in season for you. I pray that many who have refused to do your will will change their minds and go into your vineyard to serve you. May we all welcome the kingdom of God. Even though others, including our cultural builders, our political and spiritual leaders, reject you, I pray that we will recognize you as the capstone and the cornerstone of all that God is doing in the world. I affirm, Lord Christ, that the man who falls on you, the cornerstone, will be broken to pieces, and that the one on whom you fall will be crushed. I pray that we will choose in humility and faith to fall upon you, even though our pride will be broken to pieces, rather than reject you and and one day be crushed in judgment. In your name, amen.

"There is no better way to pray according to the will of God than by praying his own word back to him. These daily prayers are crafted, as much as possible, to incorporate the very words of the Scripture."

Our churches are abandoning God, our families are in shambles. There is only one hope for restoration - the Lord Jesus Christ.
