A Daily Prayer based on Matthew 16:21-17:13

Lord Jesus, I affirm that you are the Son of God, and that the Father loves you and is well-pleased with you. I pray that you will reveal yourself in your glory to every man, woman, and child in my city and nation so that we may all come to recognize that you are the beloved Son of God and learn to listen to your voice. I pray this day that you will make ______________________ and me aware of how easily Satan can project his thoughts into our minds, as he did with Peter. May we not be ignorant of the devil’s schemes so that we can reject his lies when they present themselves to our minds, and so keep ourselves from being a stumbling block to you and your plans or a stumbling block to others. Please help us to set our minds on the things of God and not the things of men. I pray that we will learn to deny ourselves and take up our cross and follow you. May we be willing to lose our life for you so that we may find it. Remind us that whoever wants to save his life will lose it in the end. Protect us from forfeiting our souls in the pursuit of what the world has to offer. Remind us that there is nothing we can give in exchange for our soul. I pray that we will follow you faithfully today and each day, so that when you come in your Father’s glory with your angels you may reward each of us according to what we have done. I ask these things in your name, amen.Lord Jesus,

"There is no better way to pray according to the will of God than by praying his own word back to him. These daily prayers are crafted, as much as possible, to incorporate the very words of the Scripture."

Never before in the history of our country has America faced a moral crisis like the one before us today. The foundations of our government are crumbling right before our eyes. Our churches are abandoning God, our families are in shambles. There is only one hope for restoration - the Lord Jesus Christ.
