A Daily Prayer based on Matthew 1

Lord Jesus, I bow before you this day as the Christ, the Anointed One, the son of David, and the son of Abraham. Royal blood flowed in your veins in your incarnation, and you are the rightful and eternal heir to the throne of David. You are our once and coming King. I thank you also for the presence in your genealogy of a prostitute, an adulterer, a murderer, and an outsider, for it shows us that we too by grace can be forgiven, included in your family line, and made a central part of your work to bring salvation to the world. I acknowledge that, in your incarnation, your mother was with child through the Holy Spirit. You were not conceived in the ordinary way but were conceived supernaturally by the Holy Spirit. You were born of a virgin. It is through you that God saves, and I thank you for saving me from my sins. I thank you that you are my Immanuel, “God with us,” and that through you God is truly present with me. I pray for every husband in our land, that each one will do as Joseph did, and treat his wife with honor and respect, and protect and defend her reputation. I also pray this day for ______________________ , and I ask you to save them from their sins and be their Immanuel. May God’s presence be manifest in their lives through you. I pray for my city and nation, that everyone may come to see that you and you alone are our Savior, our King, and the one who alone releases the life and the presence of God into our souls. It is in your name I pray, amen.

"There is no better way to pray according to the will of God than by praying his own word back to him. These daily prayers are crafted, as much as possible, to incorporate the very words of the Scripture."

Our churches are abandoning God, our families are in shambles. There is only one hope for restoration - the Lord Jesus Christ.
