A Daily Prayer based on Mark 15:42-16:8

Lord Jesus, I pray to you this day as the one who was crucified but who has risen from the dead. I rejoice that your tomb and the place where your body was are empty, and that sin and death have been defeated through your resurrection. I worship you as the risen Lord who has taken your rightful place of honor and glory and power at the right hand of the Majesty on high. I pray that ______________________ and I will have the boldness and courage of Joseph of Arimathea to identify publicly with you. May we have his heart for the manifestation and advance of the kingdom of God. I pray that many prominent political leaders in our community and nation will have the courage to openly acknowledge you as he did, and that you will honor them and protect them as they do. This I ask in your name, amen.

"There is no better way to pray according to the will of God than by praying his own word back to him. These daily prayers are crafted, as much as possible, to incorporate the very words of the Scripture."
