A Daily Prayer based on Mark 14:53-72

Lord Jesus, I pray that you will so work in my life and the lives of ______________________ that we will be above reproach, as you were, and that any attacks on our character and reputation will be seen to be false. May we have your wisdom to know when to be silent in response to attacks on our character, and when to speak simple and straightforward words of truth. Grant us quiet strength and dignity should we come under assault because of our faith in you. I pray that you will so fill us with your Spirit that we will not hesitate to acknowledge you and our relationship with you. May we never deny you out of fear or self-protection. Instead may we be proud of our connection with you. I pray that we will always regard you as the Christ, the Son of the Blessed, the One who is seated at the right hand of Power, and the One who will come with the clouds of heaven. This I ask in your name, amen.

"There is no better way to pray according to the will of God than by praying his own word back to him. These daily prayers are crafted, as much as possible, to incorporate the very words of the Scripture."
