A Daily Prayer based on Mark 1:1-15

Lord Jesus, I worship you this day as the Son of God, the special object of the pleasure of your Heavenly Father. I pray today that ______________________ and I will have the kind of influence we see in John the Baptist. May each of us be a messenger who goes before you and prepares a way for you to enter the lives of others. Through us, I ask that you will draw others to the place of repentance and confession of their sins that they may believe in your gospel and that you may baptize them with the Holy Spirit. I pray that a spirit of repentance and faith will sweep across this land, that many may come to you confessing their sins and receiving forgiveness in your name. I pray that we will always be humble before you, and realize that none of us is worthy to stoop down and untie the thongs of your sandals. May we always see you as the More Powerful One. As the heavens were torn open so that the Spirit could descend as a dove on you, so I pray that you will cause the fullness of your Spirit to rest on each of us. I pray that you will so work in each of our lives that your Father will be able to say of us as he said of you, “This is my son, whom I love. With him I am well pleased.” Please strengthen us when we are being tempted by Satan, that we may stand our ground against his schemes and raise against his flaming arrows the shield of faith. I ask you to assign ministering spirits from your throne to minister to us, especially in times of great pressure. This I pray in your name as the Son of God and the More Powerful One, amen.

"There is no better way to pray according to the will of God than by praying his own word back to him. These daily prayers are crafted, as much as possible, to incorporate the very words of the Scripture."

Our churches are abandoning God, our families are in shambles. There is only one hope for restoration - the Lord Jesus Christ.
