A Daily Prayer based on I John 3:11-4:6

Lord Jesus Christ, I pray for myself this day, and also bring ______________________ before your throne. I praise you for showing us what love is by laying down your life for us. I pray that we all will imitate your example by laying down our lives for our brothers. I ask especially that you will produce compassion and generosity in us when we see a brother in need. I pray that we will learn to love, not just with words or tongue, but also with actions and in truth. Help us obey your command to love one another. Deliver us from the hatred that comes from the evil one and drove Cain to murder his brother. I also pray that we will not be surprised if the world, whose actions are evil, hates us as we seek to act in righteousness. Father, I pray that through our love of others you will reassure us that we have passed from death to life. May our genuine love for others be an evidence to us that we belong to the truth. Please set our hearts at rest in your presence whenever our hearts condemn us. I thank you that you are greater than our hearts, and you know everything, and you see that the desire of our hearts is to love you and to love others. I pray that we will continue to obey your commands to believe in the name of your Son, Jesus Christ, and to love one another, so that we may please you and have the reassurance that we live in Christ and that he lives in us. I claim your promise for us that when we obey you, we may have confidence in your presence and will receive from you anything we ask. Protect us from being deceived in any way by the spirits of false prophets. Grant us the clarity to recognize that every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from you, but is the spirit of the antichrist that even now is already in the world. I thank you that we are from you, and have overcome the deception of the world because you are in us and you are greater than he who is in the world. May we not be influenced by those who are from the world and speak from the viewpoint of the world, even though all the world listens to them. Instead, may we listen only to your apostles, those who are from God, and who acknowledge that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh. I pray that in this way we may be able to discern the Spirit of truth and distinguish it from the spirit of falsehood, so that we may walk at all times in the light of truth. This I pray in the name of the Son of God, Jesus Christ. Amen.

"There is no better way to pray according to the will of God than by praying his own word back to him. These daily prayers are crafted, as much as possible, to incorporate the very words of the Scripture."

Welcome

Never before in the history of our country has America faced a moral crisis like the one before us today. The foundations of our government are crumbling right before our eyes. Our churches are abandoning God, our families are in shambles. There is only one hope for restoration - the Lord Jesus Christ.
