A Daily Prayer based on I John 2:3-27

Lord Jesus, I pray this day that ______________________ and I will walk as you did so that we may know that we have come to know you and may have the assurance of eternal life. I pray that we will obey your commands and your word so that it may be evident that your love is truly made complete in us. May the truth be seen not only in you but in us, as the darkness passes and your true light shines ever brighter in us. I pray that we will show that we live in the light by loving our brothers in Christ. May there be nothing in us to make us stumble, like those who hate their brothers and so walk in the darkness. I thank you that our sins have been forgiven on account of your name. I pray that we will be strong, that your word will live in us, and that we will overcome the evil one. May we also develop a deep relationship with your Father and with you, the one who is from the beginning. I ask you to purge from us the love of the world and everything in the world. Free us from the cravings of sinful man, the lust of our eyes, and the boasting of what we have and do. May we recognize that the world and its desires will pass away, but the man who does the will of the Father will live forever. May the love of the Father be in us in full measure and break the power of the love of the world. I pray that you will quicken the anointing that you have given to us, the anointing that enables us to know the truth. Confirm in us the truth that you are the Christ. May we continue to acknowledge you so that we have the Father. I pray that the anointing we have received from you will remain in us so we will not need anyone to teach us the truth about who you are. May your anointing protect us from those who try to lead us astray by denying that you are the Christ. I pray that what we have heard from the beginning of our spiritual journey with you will remain in us, so that we may remain in you and in the Father. I thank you that you have promised us eternal life through our faith in you. I pray these things in your name, amen.

"There is no better way to pray according to the will of God than by praying his own word back to him. These daily prayers are crafted, as much as possible, to incorporate the very words of the Scripture."

Welcome

Never before in the history of our country has America faced a moral crisis like the one before us today. The foundations of our government are crumbling right before our eyes. Our churches are abandoning God, our families are in shambles. There is only one hope for restoration - the Lord Jesus Christ.
